About Community Broadband

Community Broadband is a new breed of Internet Service Provider, delivering secure Internet connections, high-grade telephone-over-the-Internet, hosted Internet service and custom network solutions to the Central Oregon business and residential community (with a special emphasis on those areas that are currently underserved).

The key to Community Broadband's competitive advantage is its use of wireless microwave last-mile connectivity. By using public spectrum frequencies and WiMax type equipment, Community Broadband can totally eliminate the infamous Telco "last mile", which often results in technical and financial hindrances for traditional ISPs. The WiMax distribution technology delivers an extremely high-bandwidth connection (currently up to 300 megabits per second) for a very low cost. Community Broadband's main office and technical center will be located in Redmond, and will connect to three other company-owned cell sites via "wireless fiber" to cover approximately 1,000 square miles under a single technology umbrella. Wow! We think this is the largest single deployment in the country!

The Investors and Operators have over 100 years combined telephone and Internet service experience - Community Broadband is a new company, but with a very experienced pedigree. The founding Investors include:
